AMADO is a beach on the southern westcoast of Portugal I have spent quite some time at, experiencing some of the best surf sessions within the two winters I have stayed here in the Algarve. Its a place that displays my favorite colors the best. When the light of the sunset over the ocean hits the red cliffs and the lush, green landscape after a winter's rainstorm, the place transforms to what I imagine paradise to look like. The beach is often absolutely empty and the power of the Atlantic humbles me. I can be there and just watch for hours. AMADO also means "beloved" in Portuguese and Spanish. I've started writing this record in Lanzarote (Spain) and continued in Portugal. It is a time of reflection and introspection. Not one of answers, but of questions as I’m learning to embrace both the light and the shadows within me. This chapter is about confronting what’s real, accepting the parts of myself that I’ve tried to avoid, and beginning to understand that true freedom comes not from escaping the darkness, but from accepting it.

I still taste Lanzarote's air with its mix of salt and desert sand in my mouth when I listen to this music.

I then brought those ideas with me to the southwest of Portugal, where the quietude and beauty of the coast allowed me to finish and refine the production.

In these songs, I invite you to join me at the starting point of a journey through the quiet moments before transformation. From knowledge through spiritual ego to the necessary fall from heaven, from where fear transforms into Love.

This is my second Album, which I wrote and produced myself at IAMLOVE studio at my home, whereever that has been in the last two years. Musicially and emotionally I have moved further out of my own shadow, allowing my muse to shine more light and Love on my creativity. This is only available here and there will be no physical version, as neither the SOUL has a physical form.

I'm excited to announce my solo studio album, IAMLOVE, produced at Wake'n Bake Studio with Leonnard Vaessen in Berlin. The album was released in 2021 and marks a drastic transformation in my musical journey. The dark opening track "Alone On The Moon" was recorded first, while the funky song "1" was recorded last. The difference between those two songs is a testimony of the changes in my consciousness. Only 1000 CDs have been made. Make sure you get yours. This album is a piece of art. This was originally recorded live at Schaltraum/Funkhaus Berlin, as an instrumental concept album in 2012. I wrote this with my two bandmates at the time, Frank Binke (Bass) and Dominique Braun (guitar) and played drums on it. We never released it. In 2018 I wrote and recorded the vocal tracks to this epic piece of music. We sent it to Daniel Bergstrand, the producer of band like Meshugga, Behemoth and In Flames. He mixed it at Dugout Productions in Sweden, where the mastering was done by Lawrence Mackrory. This is a raw, heavy, apocalyptic record with melodic vocals. There are only 500 CDs available worldwide.
